Brandi and I are very lucky to have a lot of friends and family, and we both agreed that starting a blog was the best way to keep everyone informed. Our little happy family is about to become a big happy family, and for those interested in a commentary from inside the madhouse, this blog is for you.
The background:
Three lightning quick months ago, Brandi let me know that after over two years of trying, we were finally pregnant. For anyone that has not dealt with fertility issues, believe me when I say that trying to knock the wife up is not all fun and games. I was heading up to the fertility clinic for "special" appointments more often than I was getting my hair cut, and Brandi was getting jacked up on hormones that seem to be the fertility industry's version of chemotherapy. Brandi`s appointments and medications seemed to go on forever, but she toughed through it like a true champ. No matter how sore her knuckles got, she let me know loved me.
This wonderful process let us to the positive pregnancy test we waited so long for, and we were both cautiously elated. I suddenly had some free time where before I was "booked" from 8:00 to 8:03 the following Tuesday morning, Brandi could lay off the ovulation crack, and we could look forward to the fun part.
The saga begins.
